Shooting of the short feature film ‘Tomorrow is a New Day’ directed by Tvrtko Bubalo was completed at the end of the last year.

Drug addiction is a serious problem that affects millions of people worldwide, and its effects can be particularly devastating in small communities with limited resources and support.The film ‘Tomorrow is a New Day’ explores the challenges faced by medical professionals in these communities as they try to help those struggling with the effects of drug consumption and overuse of narcotics.

The film stars Filip Lukenda, Ilija Pujić, Ivo Krešić and Mirela Mijačank Kordić. The director of photography is Hrvoje Bazina. It was filmed in the Health Centre in Široki Brijeg and is now in post production phase.

Most of the film crew comes from the MFF film workshop (MFF School), where they acquired film knowledge and skills so they could become professionals today. The producer of the film is Kadar from Široki Brijeg and it was co-financed by the Foundation for Cinematography Sarajevo.

The film will be screened at the Mediterranean Film Festival in the Home Authors program.
