Animated, documentary and fiction: Friday for five!
The fourth festival day is starting with the screenings of the 'In Focus' program. The film ‘Maldita, a Love Song to Sarajevo’ by Spanish directors Amaia Ramirez and Raul de la Fuente is in the program from 4 p.m., then follow ‘This Haunting Memory That is not My Own’ by Panos Aprahamian from Lebanon and ‘Martin Torpedo’ by Toni Jelenić from Croatia. Also, the Spanish short documentary 'This is not My Mother' by the Spanish director Javier Loarte and 'Bokahontas' by the director Jana Radan will be shown.
The competition is in the program from 6 p.m., and is opened with the Spanish documentary ‘Bancal’ by Rafael Montezuma, and Italian film ‘The Children of the Sleeping Giant’ by Lorenzo Pallotta.
The OFF program presents the feature film "Savages" by Dario Lonjak - the story of three fans of the Croatian football team who rob a gas station in order to go to the final of the World Cup in Moscow. Fleeing from the police, they cross the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina and wander into a terrorist camp in the forest. The film stars Maja Jurić, Branko Janković, Alen Liverić, Dejan Aćimović, Borko Perić.
The film 'You Can't Automate Me' by the Slovenian director Katarina Jazbec and the feature-length documentary 'Hide and Seek' by the Italian director Victoria Fiore is going to be screened from 10 p.m. in the official competition program.
In the morning program for children, MFF Fora, the animated film 'Around the World in 80 Days' is going to be screend at 10 a.m. It is a family adventure directed by Samuel Tourneux, based on the novel of the same name and an unforgettable classic by the great Jules Verne, which still captivates and inspires readers of all ages.
