Brave and impressive 'Princess' for the third day of the MFF
The third day of the 23rd Mediterranean Film Festival begins with the screening of documentaries from the ‘In Focus’ program at 4 p.m. at the Borak Cinema in Široki Brijeg.

The screenings of the short documentaries are on the schedule, these are 'Port’ by Spanish director Remedios Malvarez, 'Only Three Months Ahead' by Israeli director Hannah Himan Pessah, 'Split' by Croatian director Renata Poljak, 'Outtakes' by Spanish director Concha Barquero and the film 'Last Day of the Year’ by Croatian director Marko Bičanić.

The competition program starts at 6 p.m., when the film 'The Sower of Stars' by Spanish director Lois Patino and 'Reconciliation' by Marija Zidar will be shown.

The documentary hit 'The Princess' directed by Ed Perkins, the film from the festival's off program, is screening at 8 p.m. Perkins' story of Princess Diana is told exclusively through contemporary archival footage, creating a bold and impressive story of her life and death.

“Intensely emotional, ‘The Princess’ is a visceral submersion into Diana’s life in the constant and often intrusive glare of the media spotlight. The film unfolds as if it were in the present, allowing viewers to experience the overwhelming adoration, but also intense scrutiny of Diana’s every move and the constant judgement of her character”, the synopsis said.

The film was directed by Academy Award nominee Ed Perkins (Black Sheep, Tell Me Who I Am) and produced by Lightbox, Academy Award-winner Simon Chinn (Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man) and Emmy-winner Jonathan Chinn (LA92, HBO’s Tina).

The third day of the festival concludes with screenings from the competition section, the films 'Sine Die' by Spanish director Camila Bureau and 'Trenches' by French director Loup Bureau.
