Home TV: Eight documentaries in the Festival Video library
The 23 Mediterranean Film Festival, in cooperation with HT Eronet is offering some of the best documentaries from previous festivals in its video library to all the film lovers.
Through the HOME.TV platform, the Mediterranean Film Festival is presenting the last year's Best Short, documentary 'Heurtebise', directed by Elisa Torres and Octavio Guerra from Spain. As the jury stated in their decision this film 'shows an impeccable understanding of the finesse it takes to make a documentary film both visually compelling and honest to its subject'.
In addition to the Best Short, the video library also brings the documentary that won the Audience Award at the 22ndMediterranean Film Festival. The film ‘Il Mio Corpo’, directed by Michele Pennetta from Italy was the best film by the audiences’ opinion and the jury awarded it with a Special Mention. The jury said that in this Italian-Swiss documentary through the stories of the main characters we are entering the reality of the idea about not accepting the status quo and looking for a better life. The director leads the viewers with a very clear stylistic and visually striking narration, bringing closer the atmosphere of poverty and its reflections.
The jury awarded a Special Mention to the film ‘On the Line’, directed by Alex Gohari and Leo Mattei and this film will also be available in the Festival Video library.
Besides these, the program includes the short documentary ‘Stupid, Naive and Lucky’ by the Italian director Giulio Tonincelli, ‘Salvo’ by Federico Cammarata and a film from the feature documentary competition ‘Amuka – The Awakening of Congolese Farmers’ directed by Antonio Spano.
The program also includes films from domestic production; these are ‘Radio Ganga’ directed by Zdenko Jurilj, a story about Tomo – Radio Grude host who records and archives the ganga songs, and short documentary ‘Closed’, directed by Tomislav Bubalo and Zdenko Jurij.
The Festival video library is going to be available to all the users from Thursday, 6 October until Sunday, 16 October 2022.
