Bugs and Lola crew at MFF
The screening of the film 'Space jam: A New Legacy' from the MFF Fora program at the Mediterranean Film Festival Open Air Cinema was a real winner. Little fans of animated film enjoyed the adventures of Bugs, Lola and a whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes under the stars.
No less interesting, for the older audience, was the HBO documentary 'Kolektiv', directed by Alexander Nanau, the story about exposing corruption within the healthcare system in Romania. It is critics and image of a not so great society and state system in general, which critics classify as the New Wave of Romanian Cinema.
Short documentary ‘Closed’ made by domestic authors ended the third Festival day. The local audience watched the film made by Tomislav Bubalo and Zdenko Jurilj with great interest at the Open Air Cinema. The film was shot in Herzegovina and shows the period from the first until the last wave of the coronavirus, when the virus closed this region, just as all the other parts of the world.
The third Festival day was also marked by the documentaries from the ‘In Focus’ program, as well as a number of films from the competition that were screened at the Borak Cinema.
DJ Tomo took care of the entertainment with vinyl and film music on the festival square, with the addition of domestic twist from the 60's to the obscure domestic funk of the 70's. A perfect ending of the third Festival day.
We remind you that the 22nd Mediterranean Film Festival, whose general sponsor is HT Eronet, is taking place from 25 to 28 August in Široki Brijeg.
Admission to all the screenings is free.
