Important topics and home authors for the third Festival day
Documentaries from the 'In Focus' program are an excellent introduction to the third day of the Mediterranean Film Festival. The screenings in the Borak cinema start already at 3 pm.
'3 Logical Exits' directed by Mahdi Fleifel from Lebanon open the screenings of the films from a competition program. We can also see Italian films 'Amuka – Awakening of the Congolese Farmers' directed by Antonio Spano and ‘Stupid, Naïve and Lucky’ by Giulio Tonincelli.
The competition program also brings the documentary ‘The Last Tape from Bosnia’ directed by Albert Sole from Spain and again Italian films ‘Salvo’ directed by Federico Cammarata and ‘Il Mio Corpo’ by Michele Penneta. Films ‘Obrad’ directed by Branislav Milatović from Montenegro and ‘Red moon Tide’ by Lois Patino are on the program from 11 pm.
MFF Fora brings the long-awaited sequel to the 1996 hit by Warner Bros. and NBA star Michael Jordan, in which his successor LeBron James drops in an animated 'Looney Tunes' film and gathers the cartoon team to play a basketball game and save his son. The film ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ is going to be screened at 7.30 pm in the Open Air Cinema.
The brave and socially engaged documentary 'Collective', which critics classify as the New Wave of Romanian Cinema is within the Mediterranean Film Festival OFF program, presented in partnership with the HBO Adria network.
Director Alexander Nanau's story about exposing corruption within the health care system in Romania is a criticism and an image of a not-so-great society and state system in general. Fans of big stories can watch this film at 9 pm in the Open Air Cinema.
The third day of the festival is marked by the screening of a short documentary from the Home authors program. Film “Closed” directed by Tomsilav Bubalo and Zdenko Jurilj brings the image of Herzegovina at the time when the virus closed this region, just as all the other parts of the world.
The film was produced by Kadar from Široki Brijeg and it premiered at this year's Sarajevo Film Festival within the BH FILM program.
We remind you that the 22nd Mediterranean Film Festival, whose general sponsor is HT Eronet, is taking place from 25 to 28 August in Široki Brijeg.
