What is 'In Focus' of 22 Mediterranean Film Festival?
Selector Zdravko Mustać put focus on eleven films chosen among the 300 submitted for the Mediterranean Film Festival. The year behind us was abundant in excellent documentaries, so for the first time we will watch films from this program in two categories.
From the massive explosion that devastated Beirut, and the feelings of helplessness, frustration and immense anger that the residents of that city have for the political class, to Our Lady of the Rocks - place of the true calmness, purity and serenity: a shrine on a lonely island, Focus brings us a showcase of stories, some of which have already visited prestigious film festivals around the world.
The festival program 'In focus' shows Spanish film ‘The Cloudy Sky’, directed by Santiago Bravo Escudero, ‘Our Lady’s Peace’, directed by Vladimir Perović from Montenegro, ‘Catstream’ by Sunčica Ana Veldić from Croatia.
In Focus we are also watching the film ‘Shattered: Beirut 6.07’ by Lebanese director Carol Mansour and ‘Monologue’ directed by Pilar García Elegida.
Program 'In Focus' brings story of 'The Communion of my Cousin Andrea', directed by Brandá Cerviño Abeledo from Spain, 'Speck of Dust' by Simo Ezoubeiri from Morocco and Spanish film 'Dajla: Cinema and Oblivion', directed by Arturo Dueñas Herrero.
