The final take of the documentary film ‘People That Planted Trees’ is finished. The film is directed by Zdenko Jurilj and the script written by Josip Mlakić. The plot of the film takes place in Gornji Vakuf – Uskoplje, and the leading protagonists are the two war veterans from the last war in this region. The town was destroyed, but the greatest ruins actually remained inside the people. Among the veteran population the PTSD has taken epidemic proportions in the post-war period.

Absence of institutional care for this population has brought them into a hopeless situation so they had to deal with PTSD mostly on their own, in their own way. This is a story about two of these people; one was member of the Army of BiH, and the other member of HVO. The film follows the two veterans through their daily lives and is filmed throughout the four seasons. The film is expected to premiere in spring and it will also be screened at the 20th Mediterranean Film Festival. The producer of the film is Kadar film and video production from Široki Brijeg.
