The third day: MFF Fora, The White Road and strange worlds
MFF Fora, program for children, opens the third day of the Mediterranean Film Festival with the film “Richard the Stork”.
The competition program will present seven documentaries from short documentary competition and two from feature documentary competition.
“My Life Without Air” a thrilling view of the wondrous world of a man whose most important moments in life take place underwater during one highly controlled breath. This is a story about Goran, the world champion in free diving, that conveys the feeling we have when we take a dive into the blue.
The second film in tonight’s feature competition program is “Depth Two”, combination of spoken testimonies and images of the places where the crimes happened 17 years ago. This is a documentary thriller about a mass grave in the suburbs of Belgrade. The film’s hypnotic and meditative style speaks directly to the emotions of the audience, in an attempt to uncover and give a voice to the stories that were intentionally buried in silence.
The program “Home Authors “ will present the film “The White Road”, directed by Zdenko Jurilj, that speaks about the humanitarian convoy organized during the war in 1993 that brought salvation to Nova Bila and Central Bosnia after the 12-day journey through the gun-lines. The word is about the biggest humanitarian action after the Second World War, and after the White Road humanitarian corridors were created to help all the civilians in B&H, regardless of their nation and religion.
The evening screening is scheduled for “War for the Planet of the Apes”. In this third version of this popular film, after the apes suffer great losses, Caesar starts the vengeful campaign. After finally meeting face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are taking part in an epic battle that will determine the destiny of both species, and the future of the planet.
