‘Open Air Cinema’, or simply films under the stars, is the magic we will experience again in the centre of Široki Brijeg at this year’s Mediterranean Film Festival. In cooperation with Operation Cinema, travelling film project of Sarajevo Film Festival and Obala Art Centre, we will screen feature films ‘Brooklyn’ and ‘Love and Friendship’.       



The film ‘Brooklyn’, which had its premiere at Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for three Oscars, brings the story about emigration of a young Irish woman to Brooklyn, where she soon started a romance. The film will be screened within the program ‘Open Air Cinema’ on Thursday 25 August.



Based on Jane Austen's epistolary novel Lady Susan, film 'Love and Friendship' premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2016. It brings the story about a relatively young widow Lady Susan Vernon, who seeks to find a suitably wealthy match for her sole daughter Frederica and a similarly wealthy husband for herself in order to renew the state of her fortunes. The film will be screened within the program ‘Open Air Cinema’ on Friday 26 August.
