Croatian president Josipović at MFF: Exceptional Festival even beyond the BiH borders
Confirmation that the Mediterranean Film Festival is unavoidable destination of the cultural scene of the region came also from the president of the Republic of Croatia Ivo Josipović, who visited the oldest documentary film festival in this part of Europe together with the president of HDZ BiH Dragan Čović and other officials from BiH and Croatia.

Known as a great lover of culture the president Josipović started his visit in the Press centre of the Mediterranean Film Festival in the hotel Park in Široki Brijeg, where he met the organizers of the festival, volunteers and the attendees of the MFF workshops. It was all continued in the restaurant of the hotel Park, where Josipović, with the Mediterranean Film Festival team in a relaxed atmosphere, that the festival is proud of, had the chance to meet the representatives of the cultural scene of this town.

Pointing that Široki Brijeg justifies its wideness in terms of culture, president Josipovič continued his visit in a good mood and walked through the town and visited the cinema Borak hall, where he was introduced with the detailed program of the Festival and the guests from Israel, Spain and other countries of the Mediterranean, who didn’t hide their thrill with this visit.

''It is fantastic that a relatively small town like Široki Brijeg has this much of great cultural life. The Festival is also very well-known outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina and I can see that there are many big and important people from the world of film here. I can only congratulate to the organizers of the festival and wish that MFF keeps developing in the future as it did so far”, said president Josipović to the representatives of the media, which were, together with the citizens and number of guests in front of the Široki Brijeg cinema hall, won by his patience and openness for this cultural encounter.

Rich program of the third day of the festival was also continued in terms of film, so we had the chance to see eight films in the competition, as well as the music documentaries from the DORF festival from Vinkovci. In anticipation of new encounters, guests, films, mingling…at the 15th Mediterranean Film Festival we are getting closer to the last day when the international six-member jury will choose the best among the 22 documentary films and award them with MFF projectors. The audience is deciding on the third prize and MFF projector.
