Let the best win – The competition program started
Mediterranean Film Festival started yesterday with the official program and the films in the competition. The audience in the full cinema hall Borak had the chance to enjoy in wedding events and troubles from the documentary “Big Day” by Đuro Gavran. In the earlier screenings we had the chance to see one more film thematically close to us, “The Street of Šantićeva 88” and a moving documentary from Spain “Cartography of Loneliness”. The film “A Story for the Modlins” showed us what can be done with a documentary film and how, and the freedom that it gives, while the end of the day was marked by the film “A Cell Phone movie” by Nedžad Begović that gave a kind of a laughter therapy to the audience. The workshop is in full swing too, the work is being done on making a short movie, and our guests from Israel, Lebanon, Spain, Croatia…are sightseeing and have tours through the cultural and natural sites. The program of MFF today starts at 17h with the films from the program “Short coming back home” that presents the actors form Široki Brijeg. We have to stress the audience voting too, which decides on the future of one of the MFF projectors by their grade and takes part in the prize game of our sponsors. After today’s screenings we have a Slavonian evening at Pajo’s place. Bon appétit!
