Film „A letter to my father" by Damir Čučić is a big surprise at Pula Film Festival
The film “A Letter to My Father” by Damir Čučić, who is the selector of Mediterranean Film Festival, had its first run in Pula, in the official competition of the 59th Festival of feature film Pula, which was opened on July 21st 2012. Created in the production of Croatian Film Association, “A Letter to My Father” is a kind of a hybrid at the crossroads between feature and documentary film, which has the relation between father and son for the main theme. The film, which was perceived as an outsider at first, won sympathies of the profession and the audience after screening and was declared as a low-budget film surprise. “A Letter to My Father“ became a sensation in Pula, so Čučić has already been accredited by awards, according to the enthusiasm. Besides Čučić’s first feature-length film, another 10 feature films shall compete for the Golden Arena in National program at this year’s Pula Film Festival that lasts until July 28th 2012. We keep our fingers crossed that one of these ends in Čučić’s hands.
