With the funny song “The festival is back! And where was it?”, 11 Mediterranean Film Festival was opened last night in the crowded auditorium of the “Borak” cinema, after what the producer of the Festival Robert Bubalo welcomed the guests promising them seven-day entertainment for the next year. The mayor of Široki Brijeg, Mr. Miro Kraljević solemnly opened the Festival praising the efforts of the director Tomislav Topić and Robert Bubalo, who turned Široki Brijeg into a small oasis of the film culture.
                                                                                 
The documentary “My beautiful Dacia” from the directors Julia Soto and Stefan Constantinescu was the first film in the competition program that was screened in the “Borak” cinema, after which two short documentaries followed, Greek film “Twelve neighbors” and “Mimara revisited” made by Croatian director Danko Volarić.
