‘In Focus’ and HBO for the MFF second day
The films from the ‘In Focus’ program open the second day of the Mediterranean Film Festival. This is a showcase of excellent films, some of which have already achieved success at prestigious film festivals around the world, and some will have premiere screenings in Široki Brijeg.
'In Focus' is a dynamic and diverse selection of seven films that, in the opinion of Zdravko Mustać, the selector of the festival, have already marked the film year or their time is yet to come.
In the Festival programme from 5 p.m. we can see the following films in the Borak Cinema: Egyptian Misery’ directed by Khaled Khella, film ‘Escalero’ directed by Javier Gomis from Spain, ‘The Dot under the Letter Ba’ by Egyptian director Hana El Rakhawi. ‘Scientific Logbook of New York: Why does New York Keep Smoke Underground’ is the title of the film directed by Spanish director Mar González Ruiza de Larramendi, and the trio Iso Luengo, Jorge Moneo Quintana and Andrea Ballesteros bring the documentary ‘The Interior City’.
‘Good Tidings’ are in focus of the Italian director Sebastiano Luca Insinga, and the film ‘Out’ directed by Petros Niamonitakis comes from Greece to MFF.
In the competition programme from 7 p.m. we are watching Egyptian documentary ‘Life’s Eye’ and ‘See You Tomorrow, God Willing’, film created in Spanish-Swedish production. Italian documentaries ‘Processes’ and ‘The Call’ are in the program at 9 p.m.
In the open air cinema in the town centre at 9 p.m., within the OFF programme and in cooperation with HBO Adria, we are screening the awarded documentary ‘When the War Comes’, directed by Jan Gebert.
