The Big Opening: Variety of films and guests
The competition program of 14th Mediterranean Film Festival was solemnly opened last night in the cinema Borak in Široki Brijeg with the screening of the film ‘Gangster of Love’ by Nebojša Slijepčević.
The mayor of Široki Brijeg, Miro Kraljević had the honour to officially open the festival, while the others who also addressed to the audience were: Stipe Prlić, the chairman of HT Eronet management that is the general sponsor of the festival, Darija Krstičević, head of Office cabinet for Croats abroad, and Ilaria Ragnoni, the representative of Italian Embassy in B&H.
Besides the ceremonial part where the director of the festival Tomislav Topić handed the MFF projector to last year’s second award winner Sergio Oksman for the film ‘Story for the Modlins’, the team of the film ’Gangster of Love’ presented themselves to the audience in the cinema Borak, whose story was accepted with thrill.
Third night of the festival was also marked by the films of home authors ‘In Quest of Father’s Grave’ by father Pavle Crnjac and ‘Patient’ by Zdenko Jurilj and, at the end of the night, film in the competition ‘The Venice Syndrome’.
After the film screenings, the hosts, filmmakers, guests from far away Japan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Israel, Spain, Italy…continued their entertaining at the first MFF after party in the hotel Park.
